About Pins & Needles Acupuncture
Helping you heal. You belong here.
Meet Holland Bellamy LAc.
Acupuncture, Fire Cupping Therapy Specialist, and Owner
Holland is a native of Central California, where he spent the first 21 years of his life before moving to Colorado in 2012 to pursue his undergraduate education. What was meant to be a temporary move quickly became permanent after he met his future wife, McKayla. Together, they chose to build their life and careers in Colorado, a decision that ultimately led to the creation of Pins and Needles Acupuncture.
Holland is an alumnus of Naropa University in Boulder, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Contemplative Psychology. He later completed his Master’s of Acupuncture at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Denver. He is nationally certified by the NCBAHM as a Diplomate of Acupuncture and is licensed to practice in the state of Colorado.
Before becoming an acupuncturist, Holland spent six years working in both a nonprofit mental health organization and a mental health crisis center. That experience deeply shaped his belief in normalizing conversations around mental health and reducing stigma so people can access the support they deserve.
Holland specializes in Orthopedics and Neurology, offering care for:
Physical trauma and injury recovery
Chronic and acute pain
Postural misalignment
Joint replacement recovery
Stress and anxiety conditions
PTSD
Migraines and headaches
Neuropathy
Stroke and traumatic brain injury recovery
He also provides support for pain management, cosmetic acupuncture, digestive concerns, osteoarthritis, sports injury recovery, and upper back/neck pain.
Holland’s approach blends the wisdom of Eastern medicine with modern Western medical research. His acupuncture style reflects a deep understanding of both the body’s energetic systems and its neuroanatomical and neurophysiological foundations, allowing him to treat the whole person with precision and compassion.
Holland lives in Kersey, Colorado, with his wife, McKayla, and their two dogs, Gertie and Koda. When he’s not in the clinic, he enjoys hiking, meditating, snowboarding, and practicing yoga.
Meet McKayla Bellamy
Office Manager and Co-Owner
McKayla is a proud Colorado native, born and raised in the small town of Kersey. Growing up alongside her parents, grandparents, and four siblings, she spent her childhood caring for farm animals and participating in 4‑H, experiences that shaped her strong work ethic and deep appreciation for community.
After graduating high school, McKayla stayed close to home to begin her college education at Aims Community College, where a math class in Ed Beaty Hall introduced her to Holland. What began as friendship and study sessions soon grew into a partnership that would shape both their lives.
McKayla went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Speech‑Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado. She later became a certified Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) and began her career serving rural school districts through Centennial BOCES. In 2019, she accepted a full‑time SLPA position with Platte Valley Schools, the very district she attended as a child, and a role she cherished deeply. She was passionate about supporting students with communication needs and empowering families and educators with tools to help children thrive.
In 2024, McKayla transitioned from education to entrepreneurship, joining Holland full‑time to grow Pins and Needles Acupuncture. As the clinic’s office manager, she is the welcoming face patients meet at the front desk and the steady hand behind scheduling, phone calls, insurance navigation, and daily operations. She has developed a profound appreciation for the dedication it takes to run a small business and is committed to creating a warm, supportive experience for every patient who walks through the door.
Her passion for community extends beyond the clinic. McKayla proudly serves as an Ambassador for the Evans Area Chamber of Commerce, where she supports and uplifts fellow small businesses throughout Northern Colorado.
Outside of work, McKayla enjoys a full and joyful life. She loves spending time with her two dogs, Gertie and Koda, tending to her ever‑growing collection of more than 100 houseplants, and filling her days with crafting, reading, and fitness classes like Barre and Yoga. Friends often describe her home as a “miniature jungle,” a reflection of her nurturing spirit and love for growth in all forms.
